How Do You Make Effusion Lamp Oil?
Effusion lamps are decorative glass or mosaic lamps that burn scented effusion oil, producing fragrance throughout the home. An effusion lamp is equipped with a snuffer cap for blowing it out and a diffuser cap that is usually decorated. A cotton wick is attached to a porous stone, and the lamp is filled with oil. When lit for only about 5 minutes and then snuffed out, the stone is heated. The stone remains hot for 12 to 16 hours, drawing the scent through the wick and into the air.
