How Do You Make Easy Walnut Refrigerator Cookies?
The brown sugar in this recipe gives the cookies a butterscotch-like flavour. Cream butter. Cream in the brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until smooth and fluffy. Mix together flour, baking soda and salt. Add gradually to the butter mixture and blend until smooth. Mix in the walnuts. Form into two smooth rolls approximately 1 1/2 to 2 inches in diameter. Wrap firmly in plastic wrap and chill in refrigerator until firm. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Slice cookies approximately 1/4 inch thick. Place on cookie sheets and bake for approximately 8 to 10 minutes. The thickness of the cookie will govern the cooking time. Remove from oven. Cool on racks. Enjoy!
