How Do You Make Easy Summer Sausage?
Summer sausage is a delicious treat for your family or guests. It is easy to make and only takes a few ingredients. Your homemade Summer Sausage will be a hit with everyone!This is an older recipe that comes from my mother-in-law, Annabelle.My children loved this recipe when they were growing up. Enjoy! Mix the hamburger, tender quick salt, mustard seed or powder, coarse black pepper, garlic salt and hickory smoked salt together well. Cover the mixture and refrigerate it for three days. Once each day take the mixture out of the refrigerator and mix it well. On the fourth day mix the mixture well and form it into 5 rolls. Lay the rolls on a rack in a broiler pan; so any fat will drip off. Bake the rolls for 8 hours at 175 degrees. When the rolls are cooled wrap them in waxed paper or foil and refrigerate until ready to eat.
