How Do You Make Easy Roasted Candied Pecans?
Pecans are plentiful in the fall! Here is a favorite recipe for Roasted Candied Pecans to share for the holidays! If you purchased your pecans in shell, you will need to shell them all before continuing to the first/next step. If you have children, this can be a fun job for them to help with. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Place the stick of butter on the cookie sheet and place into the preheating oven to allow butter to melt over the cookie sheet. Beat one egg white until stiff. To the egg white add, 3/4 cup sugar, pinch of salt and 1 tsp of cinnamon. Dump the pecans into the mixture and stir. Remove cookie sheet and turn oven up to 325 degrees. Pour pecans out onto the cookie sheet stirring into the butter. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes stirring every 10 minutes. Pull them out of oven and stir one last time. Allow them to cool and pour them into a bowl if serving right away for a storage container for later. Enjoy!
