How Do You Make Easy Mashed Potato Patties?
Sometimes when making dinner we get carried away and make way too much of a side-dish. I always do this with mashed potatos and yes you can reheat them with the gravy or why not try something different your family will love. Remove your potatos from refrigeration and take a fork to loosen them up. Add the egg and flour and mix thoroughly. Next add your extra’s, my family loves fresh chives, but almost anything works in these. Mix well, and if your potatos are to stiff add a tablespoon of milk. Now shape into hamburger-like patties making them all the same size. Pat the breadcrumbs on both sides of the patties. In a large skillet put a pat of butter or you may use olive oil or even spray coating. Heat the skillet to medium and then add the patties. Don’t turn the patties more than once or it may stick or fall apart. Fry on each side 10 minutes or so depending on the size. When the patties are nice and brown transfer to a plate and you can garnish with sour cream and a few more chives. T
