How Do You Make Easy Chocolate Cake For Two?
Making portions smaller to suit only two people is sometimes a difficult task. When my children all moved away and had their own families, I looked for recipes that could easily be adapted to fit our needs. During this I came up with a moist, dense chocolate cake recipe that is plenty for two people, and yet won’t stick around long enough to get stale. It makes just enough for two of you to enjoy for a few days. Here’s the recipe. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Assemble ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup hot water, 1/2 cup Hershey’s cocoa, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 beaten egg, 1/4 cup melted butter. Stir until thoroughly mixed. Combine all ingredients, mixing well after each addition. Do not beat, just stir until thoroughly mixed. Pour into a greased square 8″ baking pan.
