How Do You Make Easy Bananas Foster French Toast?
I love French toast and just adore bananas foster. It seemed only natural to combine the two dishes to make a delicious banana topped French toast. As with any of my recipes it is easy, cheap and quick. It’s a perfect Saturday or Sunday morning breakfast or brunch. The best part of French toast is that you get to use up your old bread. Use whatever bread you have available. If you are a true banana lover try using day old banana bread sliced into ΒΌ inch thick slices. Beat eggs in a wide shallow bowl with a whisk. Add cinnamon, vanilla extract and nutmeg. Mix all ingredients together. Melt butter over medium low heat in a non-stick griddle or skillet making sure to coat the entire skillet. Dip bread slices (one at a time) in the egg mixture making sure to coat each side. You do not want to completely soak the bread, just coat the exterior of the bread.
