How Do You Make Easy Apple Turnovers?

0

This is a simple recipe for a fun, fall treat. The recipe makes about 3 to 4 medium sized apple turnovers. Peel and core your apples. Fry your apples in a medium sized skillet in about 2 tablespoons of butter and just enough water to cover the bottom of the skillet. Be sure to make sure they do not run out of water until the apples are fully cooked as they may burn. While the apples are cooking, season apples to taste with cinnamon and sugar. After apples are cooked, flatten out 2-3 medium sized biscuits. Fill each with 2 tablespoons of apples. Fold the biscuits over the apples and press the edges with a fork until apples are securely inside the biscuit. Drop biscuits into a frying pan with about 3 tablespoons of heated oil. Fry on each side until biscuits are fully cooked. Before serving, sprinkle the turnovers with brown or powdered sugar.
