Bottle caps come in bright colors and interesting shapes and sizes. Bottle caps can be recycled and made into charms and beads for interesting, inexpensive jewelry. This tutorial will explain how to upcycle everyday objects and make bottle caps destined to be discarded into dangle earrings. Gather four bottles caps. Wash the bottle caps with detergent and water. Sketch a design or use the bottle caps to plan and arrange a pleasing design. Using your drill, drill press, Dremel or flex shaft, drill one hole in two bottle caps. Set the drilled bottle caps aside. Drill two holes in two bottles that are directly opposite one another. File the holes to be sure they are smooth. Using your wire wrapping tools, feed the wire through the hole you drilled and make a loop. Repeat on remaining bottle caps and connect the bottle caps. Make an ear wire or select a commercial ear wire to use on your earrings. Attach the ear wires to complete the earrings.
