The material of older sheets is softer and some are even semi-transparent, making perfect material for a dresser scarf. If you can find old lace to add as trim, no one will know that this “vintage dresser scarf” was recently made. Measure the top of the dresser. Dresser scarves fit the largest part of the dresser’s surface and some fit the entire length of the dresser. Add half an inch all around this measurement to allow for hemming. This final measurement will be the dimension for the dresser scarf. Mark these measurements on the used sheet.
