Adding decorative fabric rosettes to your draperies can add a personal touch to your decor. Decorations can be costly when purchased premade from designers and craft stores, and matching these items to your own decor can be difficult and time consuming. Making your own is an economic way to add the stylish touch without spending the endless hours in search of the right color or shade. Select your material. To determine the amount of material you will need, double the height of your desired rose for the width, and triple the amount for the length. Fold your material lengthwise with your top outward, leaving a long edge of raw material. Iron the seam flat. Sew two seams side by side along the raw edges of your material, closing the fold.
