How Do You Make Dimensional Art Using Watercolor Paper?
You can learn to make your own dimensional paper designs just like those you have admired for so long. Paper is easy to manipulate when wet, and you will be able to learn these techniques using simple instructions. Good quality watercolor paper and water will allow you to sculpt interesting shapes that can be used as jewelry, dimensional painting, ornaments and more. Select a good quality of 140 lb. cold press watercolor, and cut it into shapes needed for project. Dowels should be clean and cut in easy to use lengths. Briefly submerge paper into warm water. Wrap paper around dowel to curl or curve it. Set the paper aside to dry. It can be curled or curved again while drying if dimension is somewhat lost. Repeat the step above to form each piece of cut paper. Let dry competely. Assemble pieces using clear craft glue. Use clothes pins to hold pieces in place until dry.
