How Do You Make Delicious Old-Fashioned Rice Pudding?
This rice pudding recipe has been a family favorite in our household for years. It is a simple dessert and is making a comeback because it’s easy to make and uses ingredients just about everyone has onhand. The result is a creamy and delicious homemade rice pudding that can be topped off with a hint of cinnamon! Put the water in a small saucepan and bring it to a boil. Add the rice, cover and let it simmer until the water is absorbed. In the meantime, set aside 1/4 cup of the milk, add the vanilla extract and dissolve the corn flour. Boil the rest of the milk in a medium saucepan. Add the sugar and the rice (from the small saucepan) and let simmer for 20 minutes. Add the corn flour mixture to the milk, increase heat, and stir continuously until it comes to a boil and thickens slightly (about 5-8 minutes). Remove from heat and pour into 6 bowls. Add cinnamon for additional taste. Let cool completely and enjoy! Cover in cellophane to store in fridge.
