How Do You Make Decorative Handmade Paper Kites?
Most people purchase pre-made kites from a department store, but pre-made kites can be costly. Luckily, you can make your own handmade kite from basic materials. Handmade kites can also be very decorative. You can paint your handmade kite in vibrant, beautiful colors that match your home decor, and can hang your kite proudly in your house. Place a 24-inch wooden dowel onto a table or flat surface. Place a 16-inch wooden dowel on top of the first dowel in a perpendicular manner. With a pencil, mark where the second dowel lies on the first dowel. Set the second dowel aside. Squeeze a dollop of hot glue where pencil marks are, and place the second dowel back onto the first dowel in a perpendicular manner. Allow the glue to cool completely. Open two sheets of newspaper, and place the dowels diagonally on the papers. Carefully fold the newspaper over the perpendicular dowels, and tape them onto the dowels with masking tape. Make sure that the tape is very secure. Paint your kite with colors
