How Do You Make Decorative Clutch Purses?
You can never have enough purses. This one is inexpensive, and quick to make – about an hour. Download the free pattern (see resources below) and you’re ready to choose the fabric, color, and size. Make it with or without a clasp. It’s your choice. Download and print out the pattern. The two pattern pieces are larger than a regular copy page so they are provided in two sections each. Choosing the landscape layout on your printer, print all 4 pattern pages and the instruction sheet. Match the pattern sections by lining up the solid black boxes then taping the pages together. Cut away the margins on the black line outside the grey area seam allowances. All seam allowances are 1/2″. The finished purse measures 5 3/4″ x 4 1/2″. If you’d prefer a larger purse, print out all pattern pieces at a higher percentage. Example: print out at 125% and the finished purse will measure 8″ x 6 1/4″.
