How Do You Make Cushion Covers For The Top Of A Toy Box?

0

Making a cushioned cover for the top of a toy box is one of those projects that may seem frivolous, but after it’s finished you appreciate it so much. It’s attractive and can be an additional seat in a child’s play room. This is not a difficult project. It can be completed in an hour or two, and even a person with modest sewing skills can create an attractive cushion cover for a toy box. Step 1 Measure the dimensions of the top of the toy box cover. Add 3 inches to each measurement. Step 2 Cut two fabric pieces to the measurements taken in Step 1. Step 3 Subtract 1 inch from both measurements taken in Step 1 and cut two batting pieces to this size. Step 4 Lay out one of the fabric pieces on a work surface, right-side down. Place both batting pieces over the fabric piece. Lay the other fabric piece on top of this, right-side up. Step 5 Stitch around all four sides of the cushion with a 1/2-inch seam allowance. Step 6 Stitch the binding to all four sides of the cushion to finish the edge
