How Do You Make Cruiser Bicycle Fenders?

Walk into any bike store and you will probably find a selection of mud shields for use with your cruiser bike, but very few if any actual fenders. To enjoy rainy weather more thoroughly while protecting your bike, you can make your own fender using items found around your home. How to make cruiser bicycle fenders Step 1 Begin by using scissors to cut the tops and bottoms of all bottles and then cut them into equal halves. Unbend the hangers using pliers and straighten them as much as possible. Step 2 Punch a series of holes on the sides of each bottle half, spacing them 4 cm apart. Then take the wire from the paper twist ties and use them to link four of the halves together at the ends. Use wire cutters to trim away the excess. Step 3 Use an under-and-over pattern to thread the hangers through the holes. Skip holes that are adjoining two halves. (these now should have twist ties in them) Step 4 Attach the fender to your bike. There should be two eyelets close to the axle in the front.
