How Do You Make Crockpot Cola Pot Roast?

0

My husband travels and loves his crockpot. He came up with this dish. The Cola tenderizes the meat and there is virtually no grease at the end of the process. Plug in crockpot and set on high temperature. Place roast in dry crockpot. Sprinkle with creole seasoning to taste. The amount is up to you. Sprinkle on onion soup mix. Pour in 1 can cola. We use full-flavored cola. Place on lid and cook for 3 hours. Towards the end of the 3 hours begin to prepare the onions, carrots and potatoes. Peel and quarter onions. Set aside. Wash carrots. Cut into large pieces with skins on. Set aside. Wash potatoes. Cut into quarters with skins on. Set aside. (Red potatoes cook up firmer than white potatoes.) Remove lid. Add onions, carrots and potatoes to pot roast. Continue to cook for an additional 2 hours, or until vegetables are tender. Place on platter and serve with garlic bread.
