How Do You Make Crockpot Apple Butter?
Crockpot apple butter can be started before you leave for work and will be ready to put into jars when you get home. Prepare the apples using “How to Make Applesauce,” but omit the spices. The following recipe yields 8-10 pints of apple butter. Combine ingredients in crockpot. Cook on low for 5-8 hours. Pour into clean hot pint jars. Place vacuum seal lids and rings on jars. Process in hot water bath canner for 10 minutes. Remove jars, cool, test seal and label. Store in cool, dark, dry place.
