How Do You Make Criss-Cross Pillows?
A criss-cross pillow refers to a design that gives a criss-cross effect to the front of the pillow. It is divided into four equal sections with the same fabric used for the square placed diagonally from it. There are many decorative fabrics that are different patterns, but have matching colors that would be perfect for this project. Basic sewing skills are all that are needed to complete a 16-inch criss-cross pillow. Cut four 8 1/2-inch square fabric pieces, two of each fabric color. Cut a 16 1/2-inch square piece of fabric for the back of the pillow. Place one each of the different colors, of 8 1/2-inch squares, on top of each other, rights sides together. Sew one side with a 1/4-inch seam. Repeat the process with the other two squares. Place the two sections you’ve just sewn on top of each other, right sides together.
