How Do You Make Cracked Wheat Pancakes?
Looking for an easy and delicious way to incorporate whole grains into your diet? Your whole family will love these cracked wheat pancakes for breakfast or even breakfast-for-dinner. The best part, by using your blender, you won’t dirty many dishes, so clean up is a breeze! Place the soft white wheat into the blender and set the blender to “liquefy” for approximately 2 minutes. You want the wheat berries to be chopped into pieces at least 1/4 of the original size of the wheat kernel. Place the ground wheat in a bowl and set aside. Place the egg and milk in the blender and turn the blender on to “stir”. Gradually add the ground wheat, flour, baking soda and powder, salt and sugar to the egg mixture in the blender. Add each ingredient tot eh blender individually and blend briefly in between. Ladle onto a lightly greased griddle and allow the first side to cook. Flip the pancakes when they are ready. You’ll know they are ready to flip after bubbles have formed and the tops of the pancakes
