How Do You Make Cookie Cutter Christmas Tree Ornaments?
Christmas time is finally here, so lets “Deck the Halls”!! The kids will love helping with this craft! Gather up your ingredients. We don’t want you getting half way through your craft and realize you don’t have what you need! (Trust me, that tip comes from experience!) Mix together the salt and cornstarch very well in a bowl. Boil water. Put dry ingredients in pan and place on a hot burner on the stove. Carefully pour your boiling water over dry ingredients. Don’t forget to stir!! Stir mixture over heat until mixture forms a dough. Remove from heat. Cool slightly. Remove dough from pan and knead until the mixture reaches the consistency of bread dough. Be careful! It may still be hot. Now the kids can help! Use cookie cutters to cut out desired shapes. Punch small holes in top with a straw. This will be where the string goes. Cover with moist cloth.
