How Do You Make Coffee With A Coffee Press?
A coffee press might also be called a French press or a press pot, and there are those who would not make their coffee any other way. The advantage to using a coffee press is that you do not need to have electricity to make a good cup of coffee. It only takes a few minutes more to make a cup with a coffee press than it does with a drip coffee maker, but the difference in time is well worth it. Pull the plunger top out of the coffee press. Add the coffee grounds to the bottom of the coffee press. Slowly pour the water into the coffee press. If desired, stir the coffee grounds and water with the chopstick. Replace the plunger top back onto the coffee press, but keep the plunger in the “up” position. Let the coffee steep for three to four minutes depending on the strength you desire. Slowly and evenly, press the plunger down over the coffee grounds. Hold on to the lid while pouring the coffee into the coffee cups for serving.
