This recipe will help you to make a natural jam without any preserving chemicals. It tastes wonderful! Here is step by step guide to make it. Clean 1 kg of fresh strawberries in water and also remove the green part of them. Put the cleaned strawberries in a big pot. Add 1 kg sugar to the pot (0.75 kg if sugar is made from sugar cane) Leave the pot with closed lid for 1 night (at least 8 hours) at moderate temperature place. Put 8 cloves (in full) to the pot after that time. Take the pot to the stove and start cooking at low intensity fire.While cooking remove the foam continuously that is formed at the surface. Take some syrup out with a small spoon and drop it on a plain plate, when it does not scatter any more and takes the shape of a drop, put off the stove. Add 6 drops of lemon to the jam and mix well with spoon.Let the jam cool down to moderate temperature and then pour it in to the glass jar. Close the lid and refrigerate the jam for use.
