How Do You Make Cloth Doll Faces?

0

Whether you want to make a homemade doll for a child or grandchild or you’re interested in selling at craft fairs, you’ll want to know how to make cloth doll faces. You can practice making the doll faces on paper until you feel comfortable drawing them on your fabric. With a few specific supplies made for fabric artwork, you can create as many varieties of dolls as your mind can imagine. Cut out your muslin or other fabric for a face piece according to your pattern. Fold the fabric in half widthwise and press to create a slight crease where the middle of the head would be. Unfold the fabric and set on a flat surface with the right side facing up. Using a fabric pen, gently begin to draw the eyes along the crease. Make them as large or small as you want. Add the nose to your doll halfway between the eyes and the chin area, followed by the mouth positioned halfway between the nose and the chin. Color in the face as you see fit along the mouth, eyes and cheeks using your gel pens or acryl
