My fourteen year old granddaughter wanted to make ornaments for their school craft booth. We made these and had a lot of fun. Here’s how to make cinnamon ornaments for the holiday. Combine 1 cup ground cinnamon with 3/4 cup applesauce to form a stiff dough, adjusting the ingredients as needed. Roll out the dough to 1/4 in. thickness. Make a hole for a ribbon loop to hang them (I used a straw to make the hole) Carefully place on a wire rack to dry. Let them air dry for several days, turning over occasionally. I have lots of tube paints so I let her decorate them too. They are supposed to be natural but the paint adds a colorful touch that she liked. She is really creative when it comes to design.
