How Do You Make Cinnamon Applesauce Ornaments?

0

These beautiful ornaments are great to decorate your house and make it smell good at the same time. In a large mixing bowl, mix 3/4 of a cup to 1 cup of applesauce with 1 4.12 ounce bottle of ground cinnamon to form a stiff dough. Add more cinnamon if needed to get desired stiffness to applesauce. Lay out wax paper on the counter top or table and secure with tape. Using a rolling pin, roll out your dough to about 1/4 of an inch in thickness. Cut with any design cookie cutters you would like. These ornaments are great for Christmas, for every day use in the kitchen, or if you just love your house to smell like cinnamon. I know I do. Using a straw, punch a hole in the top of each ornament for the ribbon. Carefully lay ornaments on your cookie sheet to dry. Let air dry for several days, turning occasionally until they seem to be hard enough to hang. This will make 12 sweet smelling ornaments.
