This chocolate frosting is the best I have ever tasted. It tastes like a Hershey bar, so if you like chocolate candy, you will love this recipe. It’s perfect with a chocolate cake but, can be used with any flavor. In a pot, heat cream, corn syrup, and 1 stick or 1/2 cup of butter until it barely comes to a boil. You’ll know when it’s ready because little bubbles will appear all around inside of pot. Place chocolate chips in a mixing bowl and pour cream mixture over chips. Wait 1 minute and stir until chocolate is smooth and has no lumps. Let mixture cool for 5 minutes. In a mixing bowl, beat together 1 stick or 1/2 cup of butter and sugar until light and smooth. Add cooled ganache and vanilla to the powdered sugar and butter mixture, beat until light and smooth.
