How Do You Make Chili Con Queso Dip?
If you are looking for the perfect snack or a good Cinco de Mayo condiment, Chili Con Queso Dip may be just the recipe for you. This tasty dip is fun to eat as a party appetizer or as a treat. Cut up the pasteurized processed cheese into chunks. Put the cheese chunks into a small saucepan. Measure one cup of the thick and chunky mild salsa and add that to the cheese chunks in the saucepan. Dips made with mild salsa seem to please everyone, but you may want to use medium or hot salsa if you prefer. Add the four ounce can of diced green chilies to the other ingredients in the saucepan. Cook and stir over low heat until the cheese is melted and all ingredients are fully blended. Put the salsa into a dipping bowl. Fresh cut up tomatoes may be used as a garnish. Serve the dip with tortilla chips or broken tostada or taco shells.
