How Do You Make Chiffon Ribbon Dog Collars?
Chiffon ribbon dog collars are a cute way to make your dog look more festive for the holidays, or to have your pet show her support for the team on game day. A soft elastic band holds chiffon ribbons, which flutter around the dog’s neck. Bells, stars or other small objects can be connected to further decorate the collars and add to the festive look. This fun project can be completed by school children or adults, and should take about an hour to make. Use the elastic to loosely measure around your dog’s neck. Add an inch, then cut the elastic band this length. Overlap the ends 1/2 inch, and sew securely, making sure not to twist the elastic. Cut lengths of ribbon five inches long. Make the ends of the ribbon angled by cutting from one corner of the end downward toward the side about an inch, cutting off a triangle at the end of the ribbon length.
