How Do You Make Cheese Sauce For Broccoli?

There is nothing worse than trying to get your kids to eat their vegetables. You try to bribe them with their favorite dessert, threaten to take their privileges away or just plain tell them that they are not leaving the table until they eat all their veggies. Here is a cheese sauce recipe that is guaranteed to win any kid’s heart. You can use this cheese sauce not only for broccoli but for other unlikable vegetables like cauliflower. Melt butter in sauce pan and add the cornstarch. Mix until butter and cornstarch become like a soft paste. Slowly pour in the milk, carefully mixing to avoid lumps in the mixture. When the mixture becomes thin, add the cheese. Simmer until cheese is thoroughly melted. If sauce is too thin, repeat Step 1 and add one spoonful of the cornstarch mix at a time until you reach desired consistency. Taste mixture to make sure it’s cheesy enough for you. If not, add more cheese. Salt to taste. Pour over desired (or undesired) vegetables. Serve piping hot.
