How Do You Make Cheap Animal Halloween Costumes?
As a child, one of my favorite memories of Halloween was making my costume each year with my mother. I had a problem as a kid: I never wanted to be any of the normal animals that stores actually sold costumes of. If you have similar children, or are simply on a Halloween budget this year for costuming, there is an easy formula to follow to make an animal costume of just about anything you put your mind to without having much in the way of any sewing skills. Goodness knows my mom and I sure didn’t, but the final results were always great. Pick your animal. If you are making considerations for trick-or-treating, it’s wise to pick a naturally light colored animal. See if you can encourage your children away from black cats in favor of calicos, or if they would not mind being a pale colored bat instead of a dark one.
