How Do You Make Champurrado?

Champurrado is a delicious thick and creamy Mexican drink, used especially during the Holidays. This drink goes great with tamales and sweet breads, but can also be enjoyed without food. Enjoy! Step 1 Boil the 2 liters of water in a large non-stick pot. Step 2 Add the cup of flour through a strainer to the boiling water. (Add the cup of flour slowly to avoid clumping). Step 3 Lower the heat and stir the mixture constantly for 15 minutes until it thickens.(Try to not let the mixture stick to the pot or become lumpy)* Remember that adding flour to hot water can create a lumpy mixture. Mix the ingredients well to get the perfect drink. Step 4 Add the 3 bars of chocolate and add sugar. (Add as much sugar to your liking). The sweeter the better…=) Step 5 Stir the mixture until the chocolate and sugar are completely dissolved. Step 6 You are now ready to enjoy your Mexican Champurrado. Serve warm.
