Folding chairs are great to have when you have family events or extra company for dinner. But when you have a special occasion party like a graduation or wedding reception, you may want the chairs to look more formal. Covering them with a light fabric cover is a wonderful way to dress up those everyday folding chairs. They can be dressed up with bows, scarves or fabric paint, all you need is a little imagination and a little time to make the covers. Make three pattern pieces. Measure from the back of the seat, up the back and then down to the floor. Add 2 inches. This is pattern piece one. Measure the width and length of the seat, add 1 inch to each measurement. This is pattern piece two. Measure from the right back leg around the front, across and back to the left back leg, and add 1 inch. Measure from the seat to the floor and add 1 1/2 inches.
