How Do You Make CD Burner Software Recognize A Recorder?

0

Without the actual burner (recorder) installed on a computer system, the CD burning software is useless. If the computer came with a CD burner preinstalled on the system, all the necessary drivers and information is already installed, so any added software does not have an issue with recognizing the CD burner. However, if the CD burner is added after the purchase of your computer, you may find the burning software does not detect the burner. If this occurs, there are a few different steps you may follow to ensure the software does find and use the hardware. Power down the computer, disconnect the cables running into the system and remove the screws on the case with your Phillips screwdriver. Open the computer case and check the cable connections running from the CD burner. If the cables are not inserted completely into either the drive or the motherboard the driver doesn’t receive power and the computer doesn’t detect the drive. Close up the computer and reattach the screws and cables.
