How Do You Make Candy Heads Out Of Chocolate?
Chocolate is amazingly easy to work with if you start by purchasing a plastic chocolate mold and some melts. The molds come in every possible shape; you can find molds for candy animal heads, cartoon character heads and people heads. The melts look like oversized chocolate chips and come in many different colors. Wash the plastic candy head mold and make sure to get it completely dry. Make space in the refrigerator so that you can place the filled mold in flat after you pour the chocolate in. Melt the chocolate melts in the top of a double boiler over simmering water in the bottom pot. Stir the chocolate to keep it from sticking to the bottom of the saucepan or burning. If the chocolate burns it gets gritty brown lumps that ruin the whole batch. Place the plastic candy head mold flat on the counter.
