How Do You Make Candy Easter Nests?
It is a tradition in our house to make these cute nests every year. You can be very creative with them and put whatever you’d like in them, but we usually make green coconut grass, use jelly bean or chocolate ‘eggs’ and use marshmallow birds to sit in them. They are also very cute with just jelly beans in them. First, make the nests. Melt the marshmallows and butter over medium low heat until melted. Add the chow mein noodles and stir until thoroughly coated. Spray each place in your cupcake tin with spray oil. Scoop the noodles into the pan with an ice cream scoop or large spoon. Spray the small spoon with spray oil and press the sides of the nests up in the pan starting from the center of each area. Place the nests in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. If you are using gel food coloring, put a small amount on the chopstick or popsicle stick. If you are using liquid coloring, add a drop or two to the coconut. Loosely mix the coconut with the food coloring to make a light green colo
