How Do You Make Candles From Crayons?
Nothing is quite as enjoyable as the flicker of candles, except the flicker of candles you made yourself. Making your own candles is surprisingly easy, fun, and cost effective. Gather some supplies that may already be around your house and have a good time! Cut your candle wick 2″ longer than the height of the jar you will be filling. Line it up in the center of the empty jar. Tie the top part of your wick to a pencil or small stick. Lay the pencil across the top of the jar to hold the wick in place. Do this on all of your containers before melting your wax. Peel paper off crayons. Using two different sized saucepans (or a double boiler), place 4 cups of water in the bottom pan. Bring to a boil. Place the colored crayons you wish to use first in the top saucepan. Keep the top saucepan touching the boiling water below as you melt the crayons.
