Big Boy’s is a very popular family restaurant with locations in Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota and Ohio. Although Big Boy’s is most famous for their signature Big Boy double decker cheeseburgers, Slim Jim Sandwiches and Hot Fudge Brownies Sundaes, their soups are also very popular. One of my favorites is their Cabbage Soup. I found this recipe on the Internet several years ago, but have changed a couple of things and simplified it a bit, too, because, well, I’m lazy like that…and who has time to blend celery with tomato juice anyhow??? I hope that you enjoy this soup as much as our family does, it is so good, especially on a cold day. Enjoy! Step 1 Add all ingredients to a 6-quart kettle as listed. Step 2 Bring to boil. Step 3 Cover and reduce to gentle simmer – simmering two hours or until cabbage is tender.
