As long as they only have simple actions or animations applied to them, you can actually enable them from the Flash stage and preview how they function in the working area. Read on to learn more. Step 1 Create a button symbol with variations in the up, over, down and hit states–or with simple ActionScripts applied to it. Step 2 Click the “Control” option in the top menu area. Step 3 Click “Enable Simple Buttons” (PC Shortcut Ctrl+Alt+B) to turn on simple button actions; a check mark will appear next to the menu option to indicate that it is active. Step 4 Try your buttons on the stage to see how they behave. Step 5 To turn off simple buttons (as sometimes this can make it hard to actually select a button to work with), click “Control” and once more click “Enable Simple Buttons”.
