How Do You Make Buttermilk-Cinnamon Coffee Cake?
Another recipe from my archives that I have made time and time again. I used to make this recipe at least 2 to 3 times a week. It’s quick, it’s easy and it’s delicious with your morning coffee. This cake mixes the flavors of cinnamon, ginger and buttermilk, giving it a very smooth, velvety texture, with just the right amount of spice. It’s a wonderful cake to take when going to family gatherings or to a friend’s house. It makes a nice size cake using a roaster, or glass pan. It’s sure to be loved by everyone. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour the pan. Mix together the first Seven (7) ingredients as listed above in order. Blend well. Remove 3/4 cup of the batter and add the Almonds to the batter plus 1 teaspoon of the Cinnamon. Mix well. This is going to used for the topping later. Add into the remaining mixture the baking soda, baking powder, 1 egg and the buttermilk. Blend until smooth. Pour batter into greased pan, sprinkle the reserved topping on batter. Place in ove
