How Do You Make Bulletin Board Lamp Shades?

What do you get when you combine a bulletin board with a lamp shade? You might say you get a board shade or a bulletin lamp, but I’d rather call it a real space saver. 🙂 Please read on to learn this easy technique to make bulletin board lamp shades. To make bulletin board lamp shades, scour flea markets and garage sales for old fabric lamp shades. Make sure the shade is sturdy. With a wet paper towel and warm water, wipe the lamp shade as clean as you can. The idea is to remove all surface dust and/or grime. Once lamp shade is dry, spray paint the shade with flat latex paint. Weather permitting, spray outdoors or in a well ventilated area. If you have the facilities, you may wish to hang the lamp shade from the inner frame with multi-purpose ties to a clothesline or something similar to make it easier to paint. Let paint dry well. While paint is drying, find circular household items to use as patterns for your cork polka dots. Trace with ball point pen and cut out with kraft scissors.
