How Do You Make Buddy Icons From Pictures?
When you’re instant-messaging with someone, your buddy icon (also known as an avatar) is usually displayed right next to every note you type. Instead of using one of the default images offered by your IM application, you can have your own image–maybe a shot of yourself or of your child–appear there instead. Making your own buddy icons from pictures on your computer is an easy process that you can repeat again and again. Launch the AIM application. Click “Edit” on your Buddy List window, then click “Settings.” Click the “Expressions” tab on the left-hand side. Click “Browse” and navigate to the place on your computer where your picture is saved. Double-click the picture to select it. Click “Save.” Your buddy icon is now the picture you just chose. Launch the Google Talk application or sign in to the Google Talk website. Click on your current buddy icon (the picture next to your name). Click “Browse…” Navigate to the folder where the picture you wish to use is, and double-click on it
