We all know that chocolate-flavored frosting is brown. The problem is that there are times you are baking a cake or some cupcakes when you don’t want the chocolate flavor, but you need the brown color on your frosting. You can achieve this by mixing the food coloring in with your vanilla frosting. Place your vanilla frosting in a glass mixing bowl. It doesn’t matter which brand of vanilla frosting you use. Add the red, yellow, blue and orange food coloring to the vanilla frosting. These colors together make a nice brown. Mix the vanilla frosting with a metal spoon until all of the colors are combined. This may take a few minutes. Spread the brown frosting all over your cake or cupcakes and decorate as desired.
