Sold commercially as Tween® 80, polysorbate 80 is an emulsifying agent used in foods and bath products for its ability to emulsify oils and waters together. It has applications in body wash, lotions, hair cream, lip gloss and body sprays. Making your own body spray at home with polysorbate 80 is a brief process that can be done with minimal ingredients. Measure and pour four ounces of polysorbate 80 into the plastic spray bottle. Fill each pipette with each of the essential oils. Each plastic pipette should have a different oil. Add two drops of the essential oil of bergamot to the plastic spray bottle. Add two drops of essential oil of jasmine to the plastic spray bottle. Add three drops of the essential oil of pineapple to the bottle. Add an additional two drops of essential oil of bergamot to the bottle.
