How Do You Make Blueberry Pancakes While Camping?
Nothing is better in the morning when you’re camping than blueberry pancakes. They are so easy to make, that it’s a shame that more people don’t make these for breakfast while out in the wilderness. I like to keep my recipes simple when camping and use some pre-made products like Bisquick or Krusteaz. With a little extra time, you can make wonderful food with them. Here’s how: Make pancake recipe as per instructions on the Bisquick etc. I like to make mine in a Ziploc bag. Just toss the ingredients in the bag and shake it up a bit. Don’t mix too thoroughly. A few lumps is just fine. Add ½ cup berries for every 1 ½ cups of dry mix. A little more or a little less will do. Toss them in gently fold them into your batter. You can use fresh or canned. If you use canned, drain the juice before adding to the mix. Keep the juice for syrup if you like. Heat your griddle. I use a cast aluminum Teflon coated griddle from Camp Chef.
