How Do You Make Black Roses With Paint & Lacquer?
Roses come in the colors of pink, red, white, yellow and sometimes orange. But if you’re having a party and need a specific color, roses can be painted. Though it can be a little time consuming and takes some effort, it is less expensive to do it yourself than to order the flowers from a florist. By using lacquer paint (the paint used mostly for painting cars or furniture), you can create the perfect color for your roses. And, thankfully, lacquer paint comes in spray paint! Shake the spray bottle very well. Tap the sprayer very lightly, spraying only one side at a time. Apply a light layer of spray paint to one side of the rose, slowly rotating around the rose. Place the rose in the vase or jug to dry (which will only take 5 to 10 minutes) while working on the next rose. Repeat Steps 1 through 4 again until the desired shade is reached once each rose has one dry layer of paint on it.
