How Do You Make Big Soap Bubbles?
A small bottle of bubbles with a wand tucked inside is an inexpensive distraction for many small children. As children grow, their fascination with bubbles may wane. Bring back the childish amazement in bubbles by showing children how to make big soap bubbles. Make your own homemade bubble solution and head outdoors with homemade bubble wands to create fun for children of all ages. Pour 6 cups distilled water (pure water makes better bubbles) into a plastic dishwashing tub. Add 2 cups liquid dishwashing detergent, such as Joy or Dawn, and 3/4 cup light corn syrup to the tub. Stir the ingredients with a large spoon until you blend them completely. Untwist a wire coat hanger with pliers and straighten the coat hanger so it is a long, straight length of wire. Bend the coat hanger into a loop shape with a handle to create a wand for the bubbles. Make the loop circular or oval and make it large to create large bubbles.
