Hair bows are a beautiful way to add that special finishing touch to any little girl’s outfit. Hair bows are sold everywhere; from boutique stores to department stores, you can find a wide variety of pretty colored bows for your little one’s hair. If you’ve ever considered making your own hair bows, you may be surprised by how simple it is, using any colored, wide-width ribbon. Step 1 Take two 16-inch pieces of wide-width ribbon. Step 2 Take the first piece and have the ends touch together in the middle. Sew a quick stitch to hold the ribbon ends in place. Step 3 Repeat this process with the other piece of ribbon. Step 4 Lay one of your new ribbon creations on top of the other at a slight angleto create an “X.” Sew a few stitches in the middle to hold the pieces together. Step 5 Now take a 14-inch piece of wide-width ribbon. Create a bow and apply fray glue to the ends to prevent the ribbon from fraying.
