Make the room appear to be larger by allowing about 6 inches more around the window. For example if the window is the average 32 inches, make your curtains 44 inches side to side and higher above. Think outside the box and be creative- you’ve got a vision of how you want your room to look. Look in your linen closet to see if you already have the color and the texture you want to use.
